Midlife Women in the Age of Miracles - Who Am I Really?

Posted on November 28 2012 by Ricky World

I can remember a time, when I first became a midlife woman, and I went through a minor depression.Being depressed is very unusual for me, so I took serious note- I was questioning myself - my beliefs, my gifts and began to ask once again what my calling and responsibility was really about? I noticed that when I just look at the OUTSIDE - I COME UP SHORT...
I remember doing a workshop where we were asked to make a list of all of our positive traits and all the things we see need improving in our lives. So I decided to do this again - look, really look, at myself.
I came across a message from Eric Hoffer in The Passionate State of Mind
troubles that afflict our world." That gave me great pause.
Your Three Best Traits
If I asked you now to stand up and tell everyone here what are your three best characteristics, could you? I bet you could tell me 3 things you don't like.
If I looked at what other people said about me at that time, I noticed that sometimes I got the most glowing evaluations and HP0-J54 Exam some times just the opposite was true. It became clear that I couldn't make a true evaluation by looking outside myself. All of this tells me something about who I am - and all of it tells me what I still need to heal.
SO - WHO Am I really?
The ultimate crime against ourselves is the disowning of our positives. Perhaps, becauseour assets pose the challenge of responsibility. As a woman in midlife, if you want to best know how to change your life, it's to face your life and own ALL of yourself. Acceptance is always the first step for any change.
KNOW THYSELF, is the inscription at the early Delphic Oracle of ancient Greece.Loa tzu wrote over 2500 years ago, "He who knows others is wise; He who knows himself is enlightened."
Sit in meditation this week asking the question WHO AM I?- and see what answers you come up with? First - connect to your feelings... get honest with yourself.
Try this exercise
If you want a more analytical exercise: Create two columns - Column One- write down the things HP0-J53 Exam you like about human nature - honor - tenderness, strength, humor, love or hard work. Column Two- Write down the qualities that most offend you - anger, laziness, deception, jealousy.. - be as clear as you can
AND THEN -
Claim them both
Take time to really acknowledge them. Notice when they show up. Do not deny them or they will creep up on you as the disowned enemy in yourself. Often, the so called 'negative' characteristics only show up in our lives in the guise of the people we draw to ourselves on the outside. By the law of attraction, they can only show up because of what we deny within.
Be honest. Be true. Love all parts of yourself. You are human and like the rest of us, the God within, -- the Good within you - seems to be in a state of becoming. Midlife can become a true age of Miracles only when we quit fighting the person we see in the mirror each day. Everything opens up in our lives. Loving is one of the highest vibrations we can have. The Law of Attraction will simply bring us more love.
