Low Self Esteem
Symptoms & Tips To Get You Free!
Lacking in personal responsibility is one of the most common signs. Blaming others and complaining about, well just about everything! I know that with responsibility comes a certain amount of pressure but it is better to guide your life than be guided by others. Do you want to be a piece of driftwood, just floating aimlessly in the sea or a strong self guided sailing ship? The choice is yours.
Repressing feelings is also common in low self esteem symptoms. Feelings can be overpowering at times so some of us find it easier to just not feel and blank reality out to some degree. This starts off on a conscious level but then when done over and over it becomes a subconscious habit and automatic. Before long this symptom can make you become numb and lifeless. Allowing yourself to engage in life more is a start. Participation is the only way to feel connected and share the feelings that others are feeling. Of course if you have been blocking your feelings for FC0-GR1 Exam Questions years or from your childhood I advise you to seek the help of a qualified therapist, they can help you explore your inner feelings in an environment that is safe.
Self acceptance is another area to look out for. We all look up to someone but if you find yourself needing to seek the acceptance of everyone you meet there is a distinct lack of balance. Others will always view you (view you, not judge you) in different ways depending on their life experience. It is their 'own view of you' and not necessarily a true reflection in who you really are. Take some time to write down all the good points and qualities about yourself. Really, really dig in there, I am sure there are lots and lots. Then read that list every week, start to reinforce in your mind the good positive aspects you bring to this world. The more you do this the better you will feel about yourself and the less you will seek others acceptance.
Loose personal boundaries is something I here all the time and is definitely a low self esteem symptom worth 352-001 Exam Questions putting into check. If something, a situation or a demand on your time etc is not 'OK for you' say so. Do not feel obliged to do the bidding of others. I know it takes courage to say to someone 'actually, no I don't want to do that' but the more you do it the easier it will
While loose boundaries are something to watch out for don't confuse this with not going out and meeting others. People with low self esteem typically try to avoid social settings. This is because socialising can alert our awareness of an inadequateness we may have. This is an area that will take time, I still after years of personal development do not like huge groups, but that's OK, I know my social limits and I am happy with them. Learning what you can be comfortable with is the starting point. Unless you are a recluse my guess is that you do me new people per month. Start to expand that to a few more per month. When you are out socialising watch and learn from others. How do they behave? What is the social 'norm'. Most of all, have fun & laugh. If you don't use those smiling muscles you may lose them. Imagine a face that can never smiles. You get the picture.
Finally, there is no 'one pill cures all' for wiping out all low self esteem symptoms in one go. I hope this little article has given you some insights and ideas for you to set out on your path to greater self esteem and self discovery. That is what it is, a path to self discovery as people with high self esteem do some sort of personal development weather consciously or subconsciously we all seek out our failings and areas we lack and work to build ourselves up.
